My Outfit: Walter and G-Star After Parties
My Outfit:
Necklace: F21
Dress: H&M
Blazer: Gap
Shoes: Nine West
After the Tibi show, I had some time to kill before I met up with friends for the after parties, so I decided on an outfit change. Because, well, why not! This dress is yet another gem that I got while in Seattle and I wanted to wait and wear it for the perfect occasion. Last night proved to be it. I felt so feminine and pretty in this dress, with it’s full chiffon-like skirt and fitted waist. So much so, that I felt the need to take some twirling photos! But as much as I love how girly this dress ie, for this particular outfit, I wanted to play that down a bit, so I added edgier black accents and then evened it all out with a fresh, crisp white blazer. The parties were super fun and I got to hang out with my good friend Liz, Jenni from Daily Work It, Carolyn from The Daily Obsession, and made a new friend out of the lovely Malorie, who works in fashion PR, and am actually going to a show with later today! My Outfit: Tibi RTW Spring 2010
Yesterday was such a whirlwind of fashion fun. I literally ran around all day, bouncing between shows, the last one being the Tibi RTW collection at the tents—another show I covered for The Daily Obsession. It is always pretty crazy there so I was relieved when I ran into my new blogger friend Lucrecia, from Fashion is Poison, who I met at the Weardrobe Conference a couple weekends ago. The show itself was very pretty and feminine—more to come on the collection soon. As for my outfit, I bought this dress with my Mom when I was back in Seattle and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. The only problem with it is that it’s super sheer, even with tights underneath. I finally found a navy blue slip that worked perfectly, thank goodness! I opted for my bight magenta belt because I loved the contrast of it against the turquoise. Then I threw on my new favorite necklace, (or belt, depending on my outfit) from Fred Flare and I was ready to go!

My Outfit: Allison Parris RTW Spring 2010
Hi lovelies! So, I promise, that very soon, I will be posting the photos that I took of the amazing outfits from the Walter, and now, Allison Parris show. But, for now, here is what I wore to the latter show, which, I have to say, was absolutely amazing. I kid you not, I wanted every single outfit that I saw strut down the runway, which is rare for me. So, kudos to that!
And, as far as my outfit goes, I wore something completely different than what I donned this morning, mostly being the fact that I had some downtime between shows, so this meant that I could change and reinvent my look for the moment. So, I decided to channel my “back to school” look, which consisted of a high-waisted pleated skirt, little booties, a blazer and a handy tote! Comfy but cute!

My Outfit: Walter RTW Spring 2010
My friend Carolyn from The Daily Obsession, asked me to cover the Walter RTW show yesterday morning and let me just say, it was an amazing collection. More to come on the actual pieces, which I will be writing up, and sharing photos on my blog as well as on TDO, which I will definitely post a link to, but for now, here is what I wore to the show. I love this strapless girly, rose-printed double-tiered dress, which I wore here, but I wanted to dress it down a bit, seeing that the show started at 10AM. So, I threw on a jean vest and a casual brown braided belt to give it a more relaxed look. The green suede peep toes added a little color as did my favorite yellow bag, and before I knew it, I was off, coffee in hand!
My Outfit:
Sunglasses: Fred Flare
Necklace: Grandmother’s vintage watch on chain
Vest: Levi’s thrifted from Buffalo Exchange
Dress: Buffalo Exchange
Belt: Thrifted from the Goodwill
Shoes: Franco Sarto, thrifted from Beacon’s Closet
Bag: Coach

Recap: IFB Dress Up Soiree
Clockwise: Me and Jessica, of What I Wore, me and Pamela of Market Publique, me and Carolyn of The Daily Obsession, The Glamourai and her fab roommate, Jennine of Independent Fashion Bloggers, and the panelists (last two photos).
As promised, photos from last night’s event! The panel was really interesting and everyone had great stuff to say. I had to slip out after the first group of girls spoke and head to my friend’s Birthday party, but managed to snag a few shots with the lovely ladies above!
Once I said my goodbyes, I headed over to Max Fish in the LES to meet up with friends. And, while I was waiting at the bar for a drink, I started chatting with these two girls. I first noticed the girl on the right because of her cool white ripped jeans and then realized that her friend was wearing the most adorable jumper. They were so friendly and just looked effortlessly cool, that I just had to take photos of them! Thanks, girls!
My Outfit: All Dressed Up
Isn’t this blue background cool? I have some more photos from last night to share with you, but am running around today, bouncing between fashion shows and such, so they should be up this afternoon. But, for now, here is what I wore to last night’s event. I got this dress with my Mom when I was back home in Seattle and it is definitely pretty on it’s own, but my process of accessorizing it is pretty funny. So. I started out by just letting the dress hang freely without the sash that it came with, but then I thought that it needed a little something. So, I managed to shimmy this “belt,” which is actually a necklace that I recently got at Fred Flare, over my head and slip it down to my waist. Miracle! Then I put on my regular jewelry, like rings and a bracelet and little vintage hoop earrings, but I wanted to try and push my limits a little bit, so I thought of the most glamorous person I know and what she would do. And that my friends, is The Glamourai. She is a huge fan of glaming it up with jewelry and I totally channeled her style here by piling on a big statement necklace as the final touch. Normally I wouldn’t think to wear a statement necklace and belt and earrings etc. But, I ended up loving the final look!
Lesson of the day: Take a risk by drawing inspiration from those around you and weave it into your own style. So fun!
P.S. Check out Jessica’s outfit from last night. AMAZING!

Sweet Soiree

Last night I attended this awesome event where Susie Bubble of Style Bubble, along with a few friends of mine who were also panelists, such as Jessica Schroeder of What I Wore, and Carolyn Hsu of The Daily Obsession, spoke on the future of fashion media. So exciting! Congrats girlies! Check back around 12PM as I should have more photos from the event up by then. See you in a few hours!
